A Breathtaking View

Aug. 22, 2005

So, thinking you were one of the more than 15,000 fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes on hand last Saturday at historic Kinnick Stadium for Alliant Energy’s “Kids at Kinnick” event and you’re kinda thinkin’ about getting one of those outdoor club seats in the new press box.

Well, here’s a hawkeyesports.com exclusive: Pictures of the playing field from levels one and two of the new press box. The photos were taken during team warm-ups of last Saturday’s special event. Two were taken from level one in a space that will be a private suite next September when the new press box is completed an opens for business.

Two more were taken from level two. That level contains a little more than 1,100 outdoor club seats. The photos were taken from the southern-most end of the new facility, a space that club seats which cost $1,900 per seat are available.

Both locations – level one and level two – offer breathtaking views of the playing field inside historic Kinnick Stadium. They also both offer a stunning view of the new scoreboard – it almost looks like your very own personal big screen television.

Like all the premium seating opportunities inside the press box, the leasing of one of four remaining suites (out of 43 available) or one of the 200 or so outdoor club seats unsubscribed as of today (out of 1,100) are available on a contract of three, five or seven years in length.

The owners of a premium seating opportunity will enjoy all the amenities of a state-of-the-art structure including private restrooms on each level and upscale dining options on each level. A portion of the purchase price can be claimed as a tax deductible contribution.

To purchase yours go online at hawkeyesports.com or call the UI Athletic Ticket Office at 1-800 IA-HAWKS. Tickets can also be purchased over the counter at the UI Athletic Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena and the Iowa City/Coralville Convention and Visitors Bureau information desk inside nearby Coral Ridge Mall.

All other home games for the defending Big Ten Conference champions are sold out; UI Athletic Department officials also expect the season opener to reach sellout status.
