University of Iowa defensive tackle Ettore Ewen is injured and will be held out of Iowa’s season opener against Ball State Saturday. The red-shirt freshman, from Tampa, FL, is listed as the second-team tackle behind another red-shirt freshman, Matt Kroul.
Ewen is a 6-0, 280-pound defensive lineman.
Kickoff for Saturday’s opener is set for 11:10 a.m. A few hundred tickets remain on sale at the Iowa Athletic Ticket Office.
