Brent Balbinot visits with Mark Jennings about the Hawkeye Express, the University of Iowa’s “Train to the Game” that provides friends and fans of the Hawkeyes – and the visiting team – an opportunity to avoid game-day parking and traffic concerns. Now in its second year, the service operates pre-game and post-game.

It’s a game week and there’s plenty of preparation for the Hawkeyes and their fans. This year, that preparation includes making plans to successfully navigate to the Iowa City and around Kinnick Stadium…which is still inside a construction zone. Iowa’s second-year coach says success will be determined by her team’s ability to beat teams of a similar caliber and to take matches against the Big Ten’s best – who are also often among the nation’s best – into four or five games.
