Hear Kirk Here

Sept. 28, 2005

It’s Wednesday and fans of the University of Iowa’s football program know that tonight’s menu includes a little chips and salsa because at 7 p.m. Gary Dolphin, the radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes, will welcome friends and fans to another edition of “Hawk Talk with Kirk Ferentz.”

The weekly radio show of Iowa’s head football coach features 90 minutes of talk about the Hawkeyes and Big Ten college football. “Hawk Talk” originates from Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Café on Gilbert Street in Iowa City and can be heard live on most if not all of the 50-plus affiliates of the Hawkeye Radio Network.

Iowa entertains Illinois Saturday inside historic Kinnick Stadium in the UI’s Homecoming game of 2005. The game is sold out. It will kick off shortly after 11 a.m. and will be televised live by ESPN Plus. Click HERE for information about where the game will be available on television.

The Hawkeyes will be looking to register its 21st straight victory at home. Both Iowa and Illinois are 2-2; each team lost its Big Ten opener last week, Iowa at Ohio State, Illinois at home against Michigan State.

“Hawk Talk” is also available live on the world wide web inside the Hawkeye All-Access area of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes. You can get there by clicking HERE.
