Ferentz and the Iowa Hawkeyes travel to West Lafayette, Ind., Saturday for a 3:30 p.m. Iowa time date with the Purdue Boilermakers. Iowa is 3-2 overall and 1-1 in Big Ten Conference play. They’ll be seeking their first road victory of the 2005 season.
The Hawkeyes are coming off a solid showing against Illinois. Purdue lost its second straight game of the season Saturday to intrastate rival Notre Dame at home inside Ross-Ade Stadium.
BLACK OUT SATURDAY
Fans of the Iowa Hawkeye are encouraged to wear black on Saturday, Oct. 22, when the Hawkeyes entertain Michigan in the first-ever ‘Black Out Saturday” event at the UI. |
Iowa defeated Purdue last year in historic Kinnick Stadium en route to its second Big Ten title in three years. After the Boilermakers, Iowa returns home for two straight games, Indiana on Oct. 15 and Michigan on Oct. 22.
The former will be played at 11 a.m. and televised live by ESPN Plus. The starting time nor live television for the latter has not been established. The Iowa-Michigan game is the first official “Black Out Saturday” staged by the UI. Fans attending that game between last year’s league co-champions are encouraged to wear black to the game to show their support for the Hawkeyes.
