IOWA CITY, IA – Iowa Men’s Head Tennis Coach Steve Houghton announced today that Patrick Dwyer of Racine, WI, has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend the University of Iowa.
Dwyer, a senior at I.L. Case High School, is ranked seventh in the USTA Midwest section and 115th nationally. He placed third at the Wisconsin state high school tournament as a junior last year. Dwyer is also an honors student with a 4.15 grade-point average. He chose Iowa over Notre Dame, North Carolina, Penn State and Wisconsin.
“Patrick will be a great addition to our team,” said Houghton. “I would expect him to step right in and have an immediate impact. We’re excited to have him here.”
