The Bowl Games and the Hawkeyes

More Iowa Stuff

The UI Athletics Department is accepting orders for tickets to bowl games that could involved Coach Kirk Ferentz’s 2005 Iowa Hawkeyes.

All current general public and UI faculty and staff season ticket holders will receive an official application for 2005-06 bowl game tickets from the UI on Friday or Saturday, Nov. 25-26. Fans of the Hawkeyes can also order online by clicking HERE.

Iowa is eligible to play its fifth straight post-season bowl game. Possible destinations range from Tampa, Fla., and the 2006 Outback Bowl to Nashville, Tenn., and the 2005 Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl. As in the past, orders received by the UI Athletic Ticket Office won’t be processed until after Iowa officially accepts its bowl game invitation.

UI Athletic Department officials indicate its possible that Iowa’s bowl game destination will not be determined until Sunday, Dec. 4, after final selections are made for this year’s Bowl Championship Series events.

The UI Athletic Ticket Office will fill all orders received on or before Tuesday, Dec. 6, according to a season ticket holder’s current ticket priority. Orders received after that date will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.

Fans of the Hawkeyes who will be following Iowa to its 2005-06 bowl game destination are encouraged to purchase their bowl game tickets through the UI Athletic Ticket Office. By doing so, they guarantee that their seats will be located in the section of the stadium reserved for fans of the Hawkeyes and they help the UI meet its ticket sales obligation to the bowl game that has extended Iowa the invitation to participate.
