The newest Herky on Parade 8-inch miniature collectible, Fireman Herky, is now available for purchase. Fireman follows on the heels of Ironman Herky, Hayden Herky and Golfer Herky.
As with those miniatures, Fireman Herky is numbered and comes in a distinctive black-and-gold Herky on Parade carton. Fireman Herky is available at Iowa Book and Supply in downtown Iowa City and at the Official Iowa Hawk Shop.
The suggested retail price is $34.99.
The Herky on Parade program was a public art project that was a part of the celebration of the 75th anniversary of historic Kinnick Stadium. More than 90 7-foot tall Herkys dotted the Iowa City/Coralville area during the spring, summer and fall of 2004 in anticipation of the start of the $89 million renovation to the UI’s historic football facility.
