A pair of multi-media Outback Bowl specials are on tap in the coming days for fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Tonight, a special bowl game edition of Hawk Talk with Kirk Ferentz will be broadcast on participating affiliates of the Hawkeye Radio Network and inside Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media area of hawkeyesports.com, beginning at 7 p.m. (Iowa time) from Carlos O’Kelly’s Mexican Café in Iowa City.
Host Gary Dolphin, the radio voice of the Iowa Hawkeyes, will be joined by UI Defensive Coordinator Norm Parker. In an ironic twist, Kirk Ferentz will call in to his own weekly call-in radio show. Iowa’s head coach is traveling outside Iowa City tonight.
On Sunday night, a special Outback Bowl edition of Iowa Football with Kirk Ferentz will air on the television stations and cable systems across Iowa and beyond. That 30-minute special will take a look at Iowa’s preparations for its fourth straight January bowl game, at the demolition of the old press box at historic Kinnick Stadium and the Hawkeyes’ opponent in Tampa, the Florida Gators.
