IOWA CITY – University of Iowa gymnast Michael Reavis was honored as the Co-Big Ten Gymnast of the Week. He was named as the solo Gymnast of the Week twice previously this season. The announcement came Wednesday from the Big Ten Conference office.
Reavis earned the honor after winning the all-around against second-ranked Oklahoma and 14th-ranked Nebraska last weekend. He also claimed the title on vault (9.4), pommel horse (8.6) and parallel bars (8.6) against the Sooners. Against the Cornhuskers, he took first in the floor exercise (9.7). Reavis was also honored as Gymnast of the Week January 18 and February 8. Jake Lee from Minnesota shares the honor this week.
The Hawkeyes are ranked sixth in the GymInfo rankings and host Michigan and Illinois Saturday at the UI Fieldhouse.
