Hawkeyes Finish Third At Big Ten Championships

IOWA CITY, IA – The seventh-ranked University of Iowa men’s gymnastics team finished third as host of the Big Ten Championships. Iowa’s final score was 213.8. Third-ranked Ohio State won with a score of 215.625.

Iowa was champion on pommel horse (34.15) and horizontal bar (36.95). Bryan Bourland tied for second on horizontal bar, with a 9.45. On pommel horse, Curtis Kleffman came in second (9.0) and Jake Becker came in a tie for third (8.95). Jacques Bouchard placed first on rings, scoring 9.5. Michael Reavis came in a tie for second on floor exercise, with a 9.55. In the all-around, Reavis placed third with a 53.150.

Individual competition continues tomorrow starting at 7 p.m. in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
