GREENVILLE, SC – The Iowa men’s golf team completed the final round of the Furman Invitational in seventh place. Iowa carded a third round score of 301 (+13) which dropped them one spot from where they began the day. Overall for the tournament the Hawkeyes totaled a three round score of 896 (+32). This marks only the second tournament that Iowa has failed to place in the top five.
Senior Brian deBuhr (+1, T4) led Iowa all three days and finished in a tie for fourth place. This is deBuhr’s first top ten finish of the season. Andy Tiedt (+8, T27) finished the tournament by carding a third round score of 73(+1).Cole Peevler (+11, T40), Luke Miller (+12, T48), and Dan Holterhaus (+20, T80) also competed for Iowa. Only the top three golfers in the tournament field finished with par or better.
Iowa will play next at the Marshall Invitational in Huntington, WV, on April 7.
