LAKE FOREST, IL –
The Iowa men’s golf team finished day one in ninth place at the Big Ten Championships. The Hawkeyes carded a two-round score of 606 (+26). Northwestern (568, E) is in first place, and has a one stroke advantage over second place Michigan State (569, +1), going into the third round.
Andy Tiedt is leading the Hawkeyes at Conway Farms Golf Course. Tiedt is tied for 23rd, shooting a 148 (+6). Luke Miller is tied for 38th, shooting 152 (+10), while Brian deBuhr is tied for 40th (153, +11). Todd Larson is in a tie for 49th (156, +14).
Ryan Brehm of Michigan State is in first going into the second round. He fired two-round of 136 (-6).
