IOWA CITY, IA – The Big Ten Conference has announced that 59 University of Iowa student-athletes have been named to the 2006 spring Academic all-Conference team. The list includes student-athletes from baseball (10), softball (5), men’s golf (5), women’s golf (4), rowing (9), men’s tennis (5), women’s tennis (2), men’s track (8) and women’s track (11).
To be eligible for an academic all-Big Ten selection, student-athletes must be letterwinners in at least their second academic year at their institution and carry a career grade point average of 3.0 or better.
