Fall is the season of color in the state of Iowa and, as fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes knows, there are no more favorite pair of colors in the state of Iowa than black and gold. So, why not add a little more to your closet?
Coach Kirk Ferentz’s nationally ranked UI football team will open its 2006 Big Ten Conference home schedule against Ohio State on Saturday, Sept. 30. The game will be a rare one for Iowa City: A 7 p.m. start inside historic Kinnick Stadium.
In honor of that special occasion – and the UI’s desire to have Kinnick filled with gold-clad fans – commemorative “Gold Bowl I” t-shirts are available at select retailers statewide on online at Brave Sports Marketing.
Also available is this year’s shirt for “Black Out Saturday.” That annual event will take place on Oct. 28 when the Hawkeyes entertain Northern Illinois at Kinnick.
Both shirts are available at all locations of the Official Iowa Hawk Shop, Scheels stores in Coralville, Waterloo and West Des Moines, Collegiate Sports, Gameday Iowa, the Holiday Inn Iowa City, the Hampton Inn in Coralville and the Iowa City Coralville
