Ferentz Live Wednesday Afternoon

Feb. 6, 2007

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The newest additions to the University of Iowa football program will become official Wednesday when talented high school seniors sign NCAA National Letters of Intent to attend the UI and join the Hawkeye football family.

As in previous years, UI Head Football Coach Kirk Ferentz will discuss this year’s recruiting class and more – perhaps a comment or two on the roles former Hawkeyes Dallas Clark and Bob Sanders played in the Indianapolis Colts’ recent Super Bowl victory – for the convenience of local, regional and national media at 4 p.m. inside the Hayden Fry Football Complex.

The UI Department of Intercollegiate Athletics will provide free access to the live coverage of that media event inside Hawkeye All-Access. To watch, simply click HERE or on the link below the video player located on the home page of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Fans of the Hawkeyes who are not subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access will be asked to register. Registration is free and takes less than a minute to complete.

Wednesday’s activities mark the unofficial start of the 2007 season for the Hawkeyes, who concluded their 2006 season with their sixth straight post-season bowl game under Ferentz. Iowa will begin its spring practice in late March and that session will conclude with an open-to-the-public session inside historic Kinnick Stadium on April 14.

Iowa opens its 2007 season against Northern Illinois at Soldier Field in Chicago. The Hawkeyes’ 2007 home schedule includes six games inside Kinnick Stadium where Iowa has played before 24 straight sellout crowds.
