IOWA CITY – University of Iowa freshman-to-be Aimee Huffman was one of 36 players named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association High School Senior All-America team.
Huffman, a 6-0 hitter from Poth, TX, is also a four-time first team all-state selection, two-time district MVP and two-time state tournament MVP. Huffman led her team to class 2A state championships as a sophomore and junior. Last December she was named San Antonio Express-News Volleyball Player of the Year.
“With all of the great high school players in the country, this is a real tribute to Aimee’s consistently high level of play,” Iowa Head Coach Cindy Fredrick said. “Aimee made an amazing impact on her team, and to be honored as one of the Top 36 in the country says a great deal about this future Hawkeye.”
