Iowa-NIU Tickets Available Through Ticketmaster

IOWA CITY – Friends of the University of Iowa and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes are reminded that the last 10,000 tickets for the Iowa football team’s game against Northern Illinois on Saturday, Sept. 1, at Chicago’s Soldier Field will go on sale at 10 a.m., Iowa time, Thursday, June 21, through Ticketmaster.

Orders for more than 50,000 tickets have been received by the UI Athletics Ticket Office and the ticket office at NIU. Beginning Thursday, Ticketmaster will be the only location selling tickets to the first college football game to be played in Soldier Field since its renovation. Tickets sold by Ticketmaster will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

The UI Athletics Ticket Office continues to accept orders for 2007 UI football season tickets and 2007 three-game mini-season ticket packages. Fans of the Hawkeyes interested in those ticket options can click HERE or call the UI Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800 IA-HAWKS.

Tickets available for purchase on a single-game basis will go on sale in mid-July if available. Single-game tickets are currently available for purchase through the UI’s group sales and game-day hospitality program, Hawkeye Village. For more information click HERE.

Kickoff for the game has been set for 2:30 p.m. Iowa time. ESPN-U will provide live national television coverage.

The Hawkeyes will open their 2007 home season the Saturday after their visit to Chicago – Sept. 8 – against Syracuse. That game will begin shortly after 7 p.m. Iowa time inside historic Kinnick Stadium and will be televised live in high definition to a national audience by the Big Ten Network.
