Three Hawkeyes Out Of Syracuse Game

IOWA CITY – Iowa Football Coach Kirk Ferentz today indicated that three Hawkeye players, expected to play against Syracuse Saturday, will miss the home opener.

Redshirt freshman Jeremiha Hunter, a 6-2, 222-pound linebacker from York, PA, will miss the contest because of a death in the family. Hunter, listed as the No. 2 outside linebacker, has already left for home.

Freshman offensive lineman Bryan Bulaga suffered an injury during Wednesday’s practice and is out indefinitely. Bulaga is a 6-6, 290-pounder from Crystal Lake, IL. Bulaga has been listed as the No. 2 offensive left tackle.

Senior long snapper Clint Huntrods, a two-year letterman, has been suspended indefinitely following violations of team rules. Huntrods is from Collins, IA.
