OMAHA, NE – The Hawkeyes continued their winning ways on Friday night by blanking Creighton 1-0, pushing their winning streak to three matches. The Hawkeyes have not lost since September 7 against Missouri.

Redshirt sophomore Jackie Kaeding scored Iowa’s lone goal in the 65th minute off a free kick from sophomore Alexandria Seydel, when her header off caromed off the crossbar and into the Bluejays’ goal. It was Kaeding’s first goal of the season and Seydel’s second assist.

The Hawkeyes kept the pressure on the Jays by placing five shots-on-goal, compared to Creighton’s two. The Hawkeye offense now has registered 44 shots in their last four matches, compared to 20 in the first three.

Creighton’s offense kept Iowa on its toes the whole game, but the Hawkeye defense answered. Senior goalkeeper Lindsey Boldt recorded her fourth shutout of the season, helping the Hawkeyes improve their record to 3-1-3 as they near the start of Big Ten Conference play.

The Hawkeyes will go for their fourth win in a row on Sunday, as they travel to South Dakota State. Match-time is set for 1 p.m.
