IOWA CITY – University of Iowa President Sally Mason will serve as the Iowa volleyball team’s guest coach Saturday when the Hawkeyes entertain No. 9 Wisconsin on “Attacking Breast Cancer” night at Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
“I am very excited to be a guest coach for the match on Saturday,” Mason said. “Coach Fredrick and the volleyball team are hosting a wonderful event to raise awareness about breast cancer. I hope Iowa fans will join me in supporting the Hawkeye volleyball team and a great cause Saturday night.”
“We are honored to have President Mason as our first guest coach this season,” Head Coach Cindy Fredrick said. “It’s great to have her involved in our `Attacking Breast Cancer’ event. We look forward to giving her an opportunity to experience the excitement of Big Ten volleyball at North Carver.”
