Sanders has already been named Defensive Player of the Year and first team all-pro by the Associated Press. He was also selected as a Pro Bowl starter for the second time in his career. He finished the regular season with 96 tackles, 3.5 sacks, two interceptions and one fumble recovery.
Sanders, along with former Hawkeye Dallas Clark, take on the San Diego Chargers Sunday in the second round of the NFL playoffs. The game will feature five former Hawkeyes, as Nate Kaeding, Mike Goff and Scott Chandler are members of the Chargers.
