Hawkeyes to Host Think Pink Game Sunday

IOWA CITY – – The Iowa women’s basketball team (17-7, 10-3) will be hosting its first “Think Pink” event Sunday when it hosts Minnesota (17-8, 8-5) at 3:30 p.m. in Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children, while UI students are free. Sunday will be Iowa’s last home weekend game of the season.

All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game in support of the event. In addition to the Hawkeyes wearing pink-trimmed uniforms and warm-up shirts, there will be a number of promotional giveaways. Pink prizes will be given away throughout the game, including hats, crocs and tickets. Also, 3-point placards will be handed out at the door. Both the American Cancer Society and Holden Cancer Research center on the UI campus will have tables on the concourse and accepting any outside donations. ACS will be handing out shower cards as well.

Iowa is currently alone on top of the Big Ten standings by one game over Purdue and Ohio State and two games over Minnesota.
