Competition will take place at Carver-Hawkeye Arena and is set to begin at 7 p.m. he Pink Meet is always especially important to the Hawkeye family as Iowa Assistant Coach Talya Vexler is a breast cancer survivor and 2009 marks the sixth anniversary she has been free of the disease.

“The Pink Meet is exciting for me because it was started by my college coach at Georgia in honor of my diagnosis and survival. We have continued the tradition here at Iowa,” said Vexler. “It is important for young women to be aware. I’m alive and well because I was aware. Because of this we, as a program, want to raise awareness and spread the word through our Pink Meet.”
