The University of Iowa Athletics Department seeks applications for an Assistant Women’s Golf Coach. This is a 12-month, part-time position and includes University benefits.
Responsibilities: Assist the Head Coach in the management and coaching of a Division I women’s golf program. This includes but is not limited to, recruiting (domestic and international), team travel, conducting individual practice, planning team practices, and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
Required qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent. Minimum of two years of successful college golf coaching experience; demonstrated knowledge of the NCAA rules and a commitment to adhere to all rules and regulations of the University of Iowa, the Big Ten Conference and the NCAA; superior communication skills, effective organizational, administrative and public relations skills; demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment.
Preferred qualifications: Experience coaching elite level collegiate student-athletes and/or coaching experience at the NCAA Division I level; experience in recruiting international players. Preference will be given to candidates that can most effectively meet the recruiting and development needs of the women’s golf program.
