IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa soccer team will appear on the Big Ten Network twice during the 2008 season, as announced by the Big Ten Conference Thursday.
Iowa’s Sept. 28 road matchup with Michigan State in East Lansing will be televised as part of a doubleheader beginning at 11 a.m. (CT). The matchup is followed by Ohio State at Indiana at 1 p.m. Iowa will appear on the Network again October 12 when it hosts Purdue at 1 p.m. Both matches will be shown live on the Network.
In addition, the semifinals and championship match of the Big Ten Tournament will be televised live Nov. 7 and Nov. 9 from the Iowa Soccer Complex.
“We are extremely excited to be on the Big Ten Network twice this upcoming season,” said Iowa Head Coach Ron Rainey. “It’s an extraordinary opportunity for us and for our fans.”
Iowa opens its 2008 season at home Aug. 23 against Drake.-
