Sept. 8, 2008

IOWA CITY, Iowa — After playing its first three football games on the Big Ten Network, the University of Iowa will switch channels Saturday, Sept. 20, for its televised game at Pittsburgh. Start time for the Hawkeye-Panther contest will be 11:05 a.m. (Iowa time) and the game will be shown on either ESPN or ESPN2. The final decision on the channel will not be made until after Iowa’s game against Iowa State on Sept. 13.

The Hawkeyes return to Kinnick Stadium on Sept. 27 — their fourth home game in five weeks — to open the conference season against Northwestern. Game time is 11:05 a.m., but a televising network has yet to be selected.

Iowa is off to a 2-0 start for the seventh time in eight seasons. The Hawkeyes have a 4-2 record when they play on the Big Ten Network, 24-14-1 on ESPN and 16-7 on ESPN2.
