IOWA CITY – After an impressive tournament win to end its fall season, the University of Iowa men’s golf team holds a national ranking to reflect its success. As of Nov. 3, the Hawkeyes were ranked 44th in Golfweek’s men’s collegiate team rankings after topping the 12-team field at the Landfall Tradition in Wilmington, NC, by 12 strokes.
The Hawkeyes also find themselves sitting in fifth place in a tough Big Ten Conference where every team is ranked inside the top 85. Illinois is leading the conference and is seventh in the nation.
Additionally, the Hawkeyes’ senior leader, Cole Peevler, is ranked 41st in the nation. Peevler placed within the top-20 at every tournament this fall, including a second place tie at the Golden Gopher Invitational to begin the fall season.
