IOWA CITY, Iowa — Friends of the University of Iowa and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes interested in “Going Bowling” with the 2008 Iowa Hawkeyes, take note. Here’s the short list of things to know as of today, Sunday, Nov. 30…
- Information about tickets to the bowl games the University of Iowa football team may be invited to was sent last week to all 2008 season ticket customers and all members of the National I-Club early next week. The same information is now available on hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes. Simply print the PDF file noted above.
- Orders for bowl game tickets will be accepted by the UI Athletics Ticket Office after the UI officially accepts a bowl game invitation. Orders will be accepted online at hawkeyesports.com, by phone at 1-800 424-2957 (1-800 IA-HAWKS), and by mail and in-person at the UI Athletics Ticket Office.
- The deadline to place an order and have it filled based on the customer’s UI football ticket priority is seven days after the UI Athletics Department officially accepts an invitation. Please note: If the UI does not officially accept an invitation until Sunday, Dec. 7 – the day the pairings for this year’s Bowl Championship Series games are officially announced – the deadline is 5 p.m., Iowa time, Friday, Dec. 12.
- Orders for bowl game tickets will be filled and seats assigned based on the customer’s UI football ticket priority.
- Fans of the Hawkeyes are reminded that tickets purchased through the UI Athletics Ticket Office help the UI Athletics Department meet its financial obligation to the bowl game and are guaranteed seats inside the “University of Iowa section” at the bowl game site.
- As always, the UI Alumni Association and Winebrenner Travel will provide friends of the UI and fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes tours to the Hawkeyes’ bowl game. For more information:
