2008-09 University of Iowa Bowl Game Ticket Application (v3)
IOWA CITY, Iowa – Fans of the Iowa Hawkeyes making plans to go bowling with the 2008 Iowa Hawkeyes, take note: The UI Athletics Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena will open at 4 p.m. Sunday in preparation to accept orders for tickets for the bowl game that the 2008 University of Iowa football team will participate in later this month…or on Jan. 1.
The UI Athletics Department expects to receive and accept an official invitation to participate in a bowl game sometime after 4 p.m. Iowa time on Sunday. As soon as that invitation is accepted, the UI will begin accepting orders for tickets to the Hawkeyes’ seventh bowl game in the last eight seasons.
The UI will accept orders via its online ticket office at hawkeyesports.com, over the phone at 1-800 IA-HAWKS, and in person at the Athletics Ticket Office in Carver-Hawkeye Arena.
Orders for tickets will be accepted until 5 p.m., Friday, Dec. 12, and all orders will be filled based on the customers’ ticket priority. The UI Athletics Ticket Office expects to mail tickets on Friday, Dec. 19.
An official bowl game ticket application was mailed earlier this month to all 2008 season ticket customers and is also available online at hawkeyesports.com. The UI Athletics Ticket Office recommends you review this application for important information related to bowl game ticket orders.
Current UI students will receive information by e-mail about special bowl ticket procedures for them to follow. That e-mail will be sent early next week and the information will also be available online at hawkeyesports.com.
Fans of the Hawkeyes are reminded that tickets purchased through the UI Athletics Ticket Office help the UI Athletics Department meet its financial obligation to the bowl game and are guaranteed seats inside the “University of Iowa section” at the bowl game site.
