Hawkeyes Announce Dates For Summer Camps

IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa soccer program will hold two youth camps this summer, Head Coach Ron Rainey announced Monday.

The summer camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-18 and will take place over four sessions. The camps will be instructed by the Iowa coaching staff, as well as current and former players:

    Session One: June 8-12 (9 a.m. - noon)    Session Two: June 8-12 (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)    Session Three: July 27-31 (9 a.m. - noon)    Session Four: July 27-31 (9 a.m. - 3 p.m.)

The cost for the first three sessions is $130, and session four costs $200. Campers will be taught the technical skills of soccer with an emphasis on match-related activities and small sided games. Campers will be arranged in groups by both age and ability level. All campers will have the opportunity to train at one of the premier college soccer facilities in the Midwest.

The second camp, Iowa’s Elite Skills Camp, is scheduled to take place July 19-22 and is for girls only ages 12-18. The session costs $455 for a resident and $355 for a commuter, which includes instruction from the Iowa coaching staff, as well as other collegiate coaches and players.
