IOWA CITY – – University of Iowa Head Women’s Basketball Coach Lisa Bluder announced today that Chuck Evans has resigned his post as director of operations. Evans’ future plans center on achieving a lifelong goal of obtaining a teaching certificate and working with today’s youth.
“I would like to thank Coach Bluder for the opportunity and the experience in working for the Iowa Women’s Basketball program,” Evans said. “I have learned so much these past three years and it was truly rewarding to work with such an outstanding staff and student-athletes. I wish the staff and the team the best in the upcoming year.”
“I thank Chuck for the effort that he has put into our program the past three years,” said Bluder. “He has been a tremendous addition to our team’s success and he is a great community person.”
Evans worked closely with the Hawkeye basketball staff, helping coordinate and carry out the day-to-day activities of the program. He is responsible for arranging team travel, coordinating complimentary admissions to games, supervising public service activities, coordinating summer camps and training tables, overseeing the budget and monitoring academics.
