IOWA CITY, Iowa – Fans of the nationally ranked University of Iowa football team can watch Kirk Ferentz’s visit with the media assembled for the UI’s 2009 Iowa Football Media Day activity Friday online exclusively inside Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media area of hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Ferentz will kick off Media Day activities at 1:30 p.m. from the Paul W. Brechler Press Box at historic Kinnick Stadium. Ferentz’s first media conference of the 2009 season provides fans of the Hawkeyes an excellent opportunity to sample the exclusive video that is available to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access. Live radio play-by-play of all Iowa football, men’s basketball, women’s basketball, and wrestling events, live coverage of all weekly press conferences of Ferentz, Todd Lickliter, Lisa Bluder and Tom Brands, the weekly Hawk Talk radio shows of Ferentz, Lickliter and Bluder, and post-game media conferences featuring Ferentz, Lickliter and Bluder after home events is just a sampling of what is available exclusively inside Hawkeye All-Access.

Iowa opens the 2009 season Saturday, Sept. 5, with an 11 a.m. Iowa time date with intrastate rival Northern Iowa at historic Kinnick Stadium. That game is the first of seven home events for the Hawkeyes, a slate that includes a non-conference date with Arizona, and games with Big Ten Conference rivals Michigan, Northwestern, Indiana and Northwestern.

Season, mini-season, and single-game tickets – including discount-priced youth tickets for select home games are available online by clicking HERE or by calling 1-800 IA-HAWKS. Purchases can also be made at the UI Athletics Ticket Office at Carver-Hawkeye Arena weekdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Fans of the Hawkeyes are also reminded that the team will stage the annual “Kids at Kinnick” event Saturday, Aug. 15. Fans of all ages are invited to watch the Hawkeyes’ team practice that day. Gates to Kinnick open at 11 a.m. with the two-hour practice scheduled to start at noon.
