Iowa opens the 2009 season Saturday, Sept. 5, with an 11 a.m. Iowa time date with intrastate rival Northern Iowa at historic Kinnick Stadium. That game is the first of seven home events for the Hawkeyes, a slate that includes a non-conference date with Arizona, and games with Big Ten Conference rivals Michigan, Northwestern, Indiana and Northwestern.
