Opening Statement
We did a great job of battling back. This team is not going to quit, we have showed that over and over again. Our defense was very good in the second half, and our quarter court defense was very good the whole game. Our transition defense was bad in the beginning of the game, but once we got that taken care of our quarter court defense was very good. We communicated better tonight. Our rebounding in the second half improved greatly, unfortunately these close games we’re just not winning. Basically, we’ve lost four games by three points. It really comes down to one possession and that’s hard to take. At the same time, we know we’re there and we have to keep remembering that so we can start winning some of these close games and realize that we’re able to.

End of Game With Printy on the Line
I felt good about it, but there were a lot of situations that happened before that. You need to think about missed offensive and defensive rebounds.

Learning Experience for Team
Part of it is learning to put the game away and get the victory. We’ve put ourselves in some pretty big holes. We can learn a lesson in not allowing that to happen and losing our focus for that quick amount of time.

Loss of Focus
We had it 25 -20 with a few minutes left to go in the half and then they scored nine straight on us. Losing focus can happen so fast, a freshman can learn how important every single possession is and focus on the task at hand. If we can gain anything from these loses, this is what we have to learn.

On Theairra Taylor
She had four blocks that’s pretty impressive. We’re really trying to concentrate on containing the drive; we did a little bit better job on that today. Theairra played very well in the second half on both ends of the court. She looked a lot more comfortable the second half. She has a great career ahead of her.

Defense
Phillips is a nice player; we did a decent job on her. Morgan played very well. Offensively did some great things and had some great rebounds at the end for us. We needed to have possession of the ball and she attacked well. We need to find Morgan on the floor a little bit more often.

20, Kelly Krei
Three Pointer in the Final Two Minutes
We had a lot of great opportunities at the end we just were not able to finish it, hopefully in the future we will be able to finish those close games

23, Theairra Taylor
Halftime Talk
Was told to step it up on defense, my offense just comes naturally. I’ve had trouble being a second half player and I need to fix that so we are not under such a large deficit early on.

Feelings after Loss
The senior and upperclassmen are there talking to the freshman, we had our heads down after those missed free throws. I will be able to shake it off, next game and practice coming up soon.

Crunch Time
It was something I never experienced; it was a good experience being a freshman to be out there the final moments of the game. We just have to pull these ones out, it hurts.

12, Morgan Johnson
Mid-Range Jumpers
My teammates have a great eye for me. They know when I’m open and how to get me the ball. It was them who got me open and able to take those shots tonight
