24 Hawkeyes to Watch (2009-10 season)
IOWA CITY, IA – The University of Iowa volleyball team has released its schedule for the 2010 spring season. The Hawkeyes will play a single match at Marquette Mar. 27 before attacking two tournaments in April, including April 10 at Kansas University and April 17 at Northern Iowa.
The Hawkeyes schedule includes in-state and border rivals UNI, Iowa State, Missouri, Minnesota and Wisconsin. Head Coach Sharon Dingman views the spring season as an opportunity to improve individually while working in a team environment.
“Our focus in on individual skill development,” said Dingman. “We’ll use this opportunity to address a few specific areas as a team, but generally I’d like to see some improvement in our serving game and become more adept at finishing our attacks.”
Prior to the spring season, the Hawkeye will host their annual banquet Saturday, Feb. 20 at 12:30 p.m. on the first level of the Paul W. Brechler Press Box inside Kinnick Stadium.
