ORANGE PARK, FL — The University of Iowa women’s golf team completed day one of the Eagle Landing Invitational at Eagle Landing Golf Club Sunday night. With a 17 team playing field, Iowa is currently in last place, having shot a 330 as a team on 18 holes. Central Arkansas leads after day one, carding a 299 (+11)
The Hawkeyes were led by Chelsea Harris. The sophomore finished day one with a 79 (+7), she recorded a birdie on hole seven.
Junior Lauren Forbes shot an 83 (+11) while juniors Brianna Coopman and Laura Cilek both fired an 84 (+12) and both finished with one birdie each. Freshmen Kristi Cardwell and Gigi DiGrazia finished the day with an 85 (+13)
The Hawkeyes will compete in day two of the invitational tomorrow at Eagle Landing Golf Club. Iowa is scheduled to play 18 holes.
