BTN Goes Heavy on the Hawkeyes

June 14, 2010

IOWA CITY, Iowa — There will be a heavy dose of University of Iowa programming on the Big Ten Network the next five days, June 14-18.

On Monday, for example, fans of the Hawkeyes can learn about the Ponseti Method (4 p.m.) and watch the 1986 Holiday Bowl against San Diego State (8 p.m.). Highlights on Tuesday include the 2010 Big Ten Wrestling Championships where the Hawkeyes won the team title and Jay Borschel (174 pounds) and Dan Erekson (285) earned individual championships (4 a.m.). At 1 p.m., the BTN will air the 2009 softball game between the Hawkeyes and Illinois.

This is just a sample of the programming that will run with essentially around-the-clock Hawkeye material from Monday to Friday.

There will also be shows on the Dance Gala, Iowa’s 101-95 win over Connecticut in the men’s basketball Great Alaskan Shootout on Nov. 24, 1995, the 2008 conference field hockey championship game between the Hawkeyes and Ohio State and the 2010 Musco Twilight track & field invitational.
