Kiefer Adds First-Class Details to CRWC

June 25, 2010

ZION, IL — In June 2010, the new Campus Recreation and Wellness Center (CRWC) at the University of Iowa, which boasts 20,000 square feet of fitness space over three levels, will install in its 50-meter competitive swimming pool, swimming equipment designed and manufactured by Adolph Kiefer and Associates, Inc. The Midwest natatorium will feature seventeen custom designed Kiefer starting platforms, Kiefer Wave Eater II racing lanes and storage reels, Kiefer Advantage I water polo course markings and Kiefer vinyl backstroke flags customized with the Hawkeye logo and colors.

Marc Long, head coach for the University of Iowa swimming team, explains that the decision to choose Kiefer for their pool equipment was based on the starting platforms. “We were looking for the most advanced, stable, and elite starting platform on the market. I immediately liked the design and overall look of the product. These starting platforms enhance our ability to host major competitions as we prepare to open one of the fastest pools in the country.”
