Ferentz Live Friday

Aug. 5, 2010

IOWA CITY, Iowa — A trip to the Windy City was on the agenda for the start of the week. A trip to the Paul W. Brechler Press Box Friday at 1:30 p.m. is next on the schedule for Kirk Ferentz as “Media Week” continues for the head coach of the nationally ranked University of Iowa football team.

Ferentz will open Iowa Football Media Day 2010 when he meets the media in the press box at historic Kinnick Stadium. hawkeyesports.com will provide live, free and exclusive coverage via Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside the world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

Ferentz will talk offense, defense, special teams, FedEx Orange Bowl, Big Ten Conference, Nebraska Cornhuskers, home games and away games, and, undoubtedly, much more on Friday. Then, later in the day, the media assembled will go one-on-one with the Hawkeyes at the Kenyon Practice Facility. Media day also marks the official start of fall camp for the Hawkeyes and hawkeyesports.com will provide “endzone to endzone” coverage beginning Friday, throughout the weekend and Hawkeyes’ two-plus weeks of camp, and through to the season opener and beyond.

Iowa opens the 2010 season on Saturday, Sept. 4, against Eastern Illinois on the National Varsity Club’s annual Varsity Club Day.
