Aug. 25, 2010

IOWA CITY, IA – – Four members of the University of Iowa men’s tennis team have been named ITA Scholar-Athletes. The four honorees were Garret Dunn, Patrick Dwyer, Reinoud Haal and Austen Kauss.

In order to qualify, a player must have a grade point average of at least 3.50 (on a 4.00 scale) for the academic year and have been a varsity letterwinner.

“We are very proud of the four recipients and the strong academic tradition our program has maintained over the years,” said Head Coach Steve Houghton.

The Black and Gold will open the 2010 fall season at the Purdue Invitational Sept. 17.
