IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa football team will be featured on the Big Ten Network this evening (Thursday, Aug. 26) at 7 p.m. (CT). The college football broadcasting crew of Gerry DiNardo, Howard Griffith and Dave Revsine visited the Kenyon Football Practice Facility on Aug. 19.
The focus on the Hawkeyes will be the ninth of an 11-part series aired annually by the Big Ten Network.
The BTN journey lasted 16 days and the crew can say it has visited every team and has a better understanding of how each team will perform this season. Preview shows will include interviews with head coaches, coordinators and selected returning players to measure each team’s progress for the quickly-approaching 2010 regular season.
Revsine, DiNardo, Griffith and the Big Ten Network production crew traveled across the conference’s eight states in a customized, chartered bus. The bus was branded with logos and air times for the network’s new show, Big Ten Icons, hosted by Keith Jackson. Big Ten Icons will debut on Saturday, Sept. 18, and air Tuesdays at 8 p.m. (CT).
The final two Big Ten Conference teams to be previewed are Minnesota (Friday, Aug. 27) and Wisconsin (Monday, Aug. 30).
