Ferentz Live!

Aug. 30, 2010

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Game week…it’s finally here for the nationally ranked University of Iowa football team and its head coach, Kirk Ferentz.

Iowa’s veteran field general will officially kickoff the first week of the 2010 college football season on the UI campus Tuesday with the first of 12 weekly visits with local, regional and national media assembled inside the auditorium of the Jacobson Building inside the Hayden Fry Football Complex.

The topics will likely range for the status of Iowa’s offensive backfield and offensive line, to the new faces on the defense, and the tug-of-war going on in the kicking game. He might also comment on the return to campus by members of the 1960 and 1985 Big Ten Conference championship teams for the City of Coralville’s annual “FRYfest” activity Friday afternoon and evening, and for Varsity Club Day activities Saturday at historic Kinnick Stadium in addition to the renaming of Stadium Drive in honor of former UI head coach Forest Evashevski.

Ferentz’s visit — which is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. Iowa time — will be available live and exclusively from start to finish to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

In addition to live coverage of each of Ferentz’s weekly press conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to the weekly visits with the media of UI basketball coaches Fran McCaffery and Lisa Bluder, live and exclusive coverage of Ferentz’s, McCaffery’s and Bludder’s post-game media conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s head football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball coaches, and, of course, the live play-by-play of every Iowa football game featuring the Hawkeye Radio Network’s Gary Dolphin, Ed Podolak and Rob Brooks, and all men’s basketball, women’s basketball and wrestling events.
