IOWA CITY, Iowa — It was an impressive Labor Day weekend for the University of Iowa and its athletic programs. Ron Rainey and the soccer team improved to 4-1 with its fourth consecutive shutout; the Hawkeye women’s and men’s cross country teams ran to victory in the Hawkeye Invitational; Sharon Dingman and the volleyball Hawkeyes won the St. Louis Tournament and the UI field hockey team entered the victory column with a 5-0 shutout against Brown.
