IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz will talk Iowa-Michigan State Tuesday when he visits with local, regional and national media assembled for his weekly visit inside the Hayden Fry Football Complex on the UI campus.

Ferentz’s visit — which is scheduled to begin at 12:30 p.m. Iowa time — will be available live and exclusively from start to finish to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official world wide web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

The Hawkeyes entertain the Spartans in the fifth annual “Blackout Saturday” game at 2:30 p.m. Iowa time Saturday. The game will be televised live by ABC and ESPN with ESPN providing coverage where the game is not available over the air.

Iowa faces another team that looks a lot like itself on Saturday: Michigan State likes to run the ball and throws it very effectively on offense thanks in great measure to superior quarterback play, and they play a hard-hitting style of defense.

The game is the 42nd in the series with Iowa holding a 21-18-2 advantage as a result of victories in three of the last four games including a 15-13 win last year in East Lansing, Mich., that was secured on the game’s final play when Ricky Stanzi hit Marvin McNutt in the end zone as time expired.

In addition to live coverage of each of Ferentz’s weekly press conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to the weekly visits with the media of UI basketball coaches Fran McCaffery and Lisa Bluder, live and exclusive coverage of Ferentz’s, McCaffery’s and Bluder’s post-game media conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s head football, men’s basketball and women’s basketball coaches, and, of course, the live play-by-play of every Iowa football game featuring the Hawkeye Radio Network’s Gary Dolphin, Ed Podolak and Rob Brooks, and all men’s basketball, women’s basketball and wrestling events.
