Feb. 15, 2011

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa head women’s basketball coach Lisa Bluder will meet the media at 11:30 a.m. this morning at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. Bluder will touch on the Hawkeyes’ back-to-back victories over Minnesota and Northwestern before turning her focus to Wednesday’s game against Wisconsin.

Bluder’s news conference will be available live and exclusively from start to finish to subscribers of Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media mortal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official World Wide Web site of the Iowa Hawkeyes.

In the team’s last victory — an 86-75 road triumph at Northwestern — the Hawkeyes started slow, but finished on a flurry, scoring 63 second half points. Iowa had four players land in double digits in the contest with Kachine Alexander (22) and Kelly Krei (20) leading the way.

The Hawkeyes host Wisconsin Wednesday night, riding a two-game winning streak. The Badgers, meanwhile, bring a 14-10 overall and a 9-3 Big Ten record into Carver-Hawkeye Arena, which puts them in sole possession of third place in the conference standings.

In addition to live coverage of each of Bluder’s weekly press conferences, subscribers to Hawkeye All-Access also have exclusive access to the weekly visits with the media of UI men’s basketball coach Fran McCaffery, live and exclusive coverage of McCaffery’s and Bluder’s postgame media conference after home events, live and exclusive coverage of the weekly “Hawk Talk” radio shows of Iowa’s men’s basketball and women’s basketball coaches, and, of course, the live play-by-play of every Iowa women’s basketball game featuring Brent Balbinot and Shelley Till, and all men’s basketball and wrestling events.
