Hawkeyes Finish 24th in TYR/CSCAA Poll

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa swimming finished No. 24 in the final 2010-11 TYP/CSCAA Men’s Division I poll. The Hawkeyes finished the dual meet season with a record of 7-1 overall, including a 3-1 mark in the Big Ten Conference.

Iowa is one of seven Big Ten teams to finish the season ranked in the top 25. The others include Michigan (7), Ohio State (10), Indiana (12), Minnesota (15), Purdue (19) and Penn State (22).

The Hawkeyes first appeared in the polls on Dec. 17, 2010, ranked 22nd. Heading into the Big Ten Championships, Iowa was 25th. This season was the first ranking for the program since the 2003-04 campaign.

The Hawkeyes return to action March 24-26 when juniors Paul Gordon, Ryan Phelan, Duncan Partridge and sophomore Jordan Huff represent the program at the 2011 NCAA Championships in Minneapolis.
