IOWA CITY, Iowa – If you missed the University of Iowa track and field team dominate the Musco Twilight Meet April 23rd, you have a chance to relive the 12th annual event this weekend. A tape-delay broadcast of the meet will air on the Big Ten Network Sunday at 6 p.m. CDT. Bernie Guenther and Craig Virgin provide event coverage and analysis. Christina Meister reports from the field.
The Hawkeyes crowned 18 champions that Saturday night on the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track in Iowa City.
“It was a great night and another great crowd,” said head coach Larry Wieczorek after the meet. “We came out and performed at an elite level and gave track and field fans a great show. The athletes really showed up and proved to me we’re ready to hit the championship stretch of our schedule.”
The Hawkeyes return to the Francis X. Cretzmeyer Track May 13-15 when they host the Big Ten Championships. That meet will also be broadcast on the Big Ten Network. Click HERE for championship information.
