Hello Hawkeye fans!

It’s so awesome to be blogging from Europe! I know we are all looking forward to staying in touch with all the great fans back in the United States during our trip.

The last two days have been kind of a blur with all the travel. It seems like forever since we left Iowa City after all the time zone changes. Traveling was definitely a process. We were told to fall asleep on the plane right after we were served our dinner around 7 p.m. (CT), but there were some pretty loud babies on the plane that made it extremely hard to sleep. We were able to catch a few quick naps here and there, but we were all pretty exhausted when we landed in Paris.

Once we got to the Paris airport, we found a place to get some food. It was around 9 a.m. (local time), so the place had breakfast food. Most of the players went for the quiche and it was definitely different than what we were expecting.

We just connected in Paris on the way to Prague, but I’m really excited to head back to Paris. Just flying in over the city looked pretty cool!

We landed in Prague around 12:30 p.m. (local time) and the weather was chilly and rainy. After we got our luggage, we got on a really nice tour bus and took a little ride around Prague. We couldn’t venture out on the tour because it was raining so hard, but drove by Prague Castle and some other cool landmarks.

It’s about 3:15 (local time) right now and the rain looks like it’s going to stop. We are about to head out and check out some of the local shops and grab dinner. Our tour guide told us to stay up until at least 7 or 8 p.m. to get our bodies on schedule…that’s going to be tough! We are all pretty tired but we are hoping some fresh air in a new country will help!

Thanks again for following along and GO HAWKS!
