IOWA CITY, Iowa — University of Iowa head football coach Kirk Ferentz will talk about his Hawkeyes, as well as 22nd-ranked Nebraska, on Tuesday afternoon. Iowa (7-4 overall, 4-3 Big Ten) will face the Huskers in the inaugural “The Heroes Game” on Friday in Lincoln.
The visit with local, regional and national media assembled in the Player’s Auditorium in the Hayden Fry Football Complex begins at 12:45 p.m. (CT) and will be available live from start to finish on Hawkeye All-Access, the multi-media portal inside hawkeyesports.com, the official World Wide Web of the Iowa Hawkeyes.
Iowa heads to Memorial Stadium fresh of its first road victory of the season, a 31-21 triumph at Purdue. Nebraska enters the game with an 8-3 overall and a 4-3 Big Ten record after dropping a 45-17 decision at Michigan last Saturday.
The Huskers, who have won the last three meetings, hold a 26-12-3 avantage in the series. The two teams have not met since the 2000 season, a 42-13 Nebraska victory in Lincoln.
