IOWA CITY, Iowa — Game times for the 2011 Hawkeye Challenge have been set after the Big Ten announced the Michigan State vs. Iowa football game in Kinnick Stadium would be an 11:01 a.m. kickoff.
In order to allow women’s basketball fans better parking and less football game day traffic, Game 1 of the Hawkeye Challenge between UNLV and Butler will begin at 4:30 p.m. Iowa and Harvard will follow at 7 p.m.
The Hawkeyes will play at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, regardless of the outcome of Saturday’s game. Sunday’s first game matching Harvard vs. Butler or UNLV will take place at 12 p.m.
Admission for Saturday’s game against Harvard, at 7 p.m., is FREE to the general public. Women’s basketball season ticket holders are invited to use the Nov. 12 ticket for a free admission for a friend to any other game on the Iowa home schedule.
